Healers Who Practice It
What is Alchemy?
What is Alchemy? Traditionally, alchemy was the medieval practice of transforming base metals into gold — a mysterious blend of science, art, and mysticism. Over time, the word has come to mean the process of profound transformation: turning something ordinary into something extraordinary and revealing hidden potential within. At The Alchemy Space, alchemy is both our name and our mission. We believe in the art of transformation — in ourselves, in our community, and in the world around us. Through movement, creativity, connection, and holistic well-being, we nurture the process of evolving together, elevating what already exists, and creating something entirely new.Show More

Craniosacral Therapy
For the past 14 years, I have been dedicated to researching, writing, and teaching in the field of health, healing, and human optimization. As the author of multiple health and wellness books, my work focuses on bridging natural healing principles with modern understanding, offering people practical, empowering pathways back to vitality. Since 2017, I have worked directly with clients at SoulSpire: The Healing Playground, a holistic wellness center devoted to restoration, purification, and regeneration. My approach is integrative and multifaceted, incorporating modalities such as ozone therapy, kambo, colon hydrotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, frequency healing technologies, contrast therapy, and sound-based practices. These tools are used in harmony to support detoxification, restore balance within the gut and microbiome, and help the body return to a natural state of resilience. My path into this work was deeply personal. Following the loss of my brother to suicide, I began searching for answers beyond conventional approaches, seeking natural ways to support mental and emotional well-being. This journey led me to the profound impact of internal cleansing, plant-based nutrition, and holistic lifestyle practices. Later, after experiencing the loss of my father due to a medical error, my commitment deepened. These experiences shaped a clear purpose: to help others find safe, empowering, and effective paths to healing so that fewer families have to endure preventable suffering. What inspires me most as a healer is witnessing transformation through seeing individuals reconnect with their vitality, clarity, and sense of self. I am driven by the belief that the body is intelligent, capable, and designed to heal when given the right environment and support. My work is devoted to helping people reclaim that connection and step back into a state of true health and wholeness.Show More

Healing Touch
My path as a healer began when I was in college at UC Berkeley, studying philosophy and living at a 60-person vegan co-op. At 19, I stepped into a manager role at my co-op that involved supporting my housemates with interpersonal conflict. There, I first held space for people to express their emotions and needs openly—and witnessed how honesty and vulnerability could transform tension into connection. I felt deeply aligned in that role and knew this was work I was called to, so I went on to complete a Conflict Mediation training to deepen my skills and experience. Years later, seeking support for my own anxiety, perfectionism, and over-functioning, I struggled to find a therapist through my insurance who felt like the right fit. Wanting a body-based approach for deeper transformation, I began working with a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I immediately resonated with my coach, and felt relief to finally be working with someone who I didn't have to explain myself to, and who brought in expertise beyond my own experience. Over time, I built a deeper sense of embodied safety, expanded my emotional range, and started to shift my chronic pattern of constantly being busy but never feeling like I was doing enough. Now, I am so much more in tune with my body's wisdom and feel more spaciousness, possibility, and empowerment in my life. Grateful for the profound impact this work had on me, I pursued training in Somatic Experiencing myself. Studying the modality has deepened my healing even further, and I’m honored to now be able to offer others this same support.Show More

Assisted Stretching
Jenay Aiksnoras, E-RYT500, M.S. Counseling has been teaching Yoga since 2005. Jenay's story began on a farm in Connecticut. She grew up actively engaging outdoors. When she moved to Boston for college, her love of the outdoors drew her to her school's outing club. A class audit during her undergraduate studies introduced her to the practice of yoga, untimately helping her discover the key to reducing physical pain and feeling well while playing outside. At that time there were few places to practice. She explored various studios and lineages including svarupa, vinyasa and Iyengar. Through consistent practice, Yoga asana helped to heal back pain resulting from bulging discs and scoliosis. It wasn't until she began practicing in New York with Amy Pearce-Hayden that she truly began to understand the depth of yoga. Jenay believes that asana, like every limb of the eight (Asta Anga) is just one aspect of the practice. To access Yoga you must address the entire system. During every practice she guides you'll be directed to engage in svadhyaya, consider sankalpa and connect with your Self.Show More

Spiritual Healing
My path into healing work was deeply personal, as I'm sure most of us share this sentiment. For much of my life, anxiety was a constant companion, along with periods of depression, numbing, and the effects of a childhood marked by instability. Like many who step into this work, the journey began with a simple desire to understand why certain patterns felt so difficult to change, and more importantly how to begin the shedding of these outdated stories and negative looping. Over time, that search led to deep inner work and eventually to hypnotherapy and subconscious healing. These approaches revealed something powerful: many of the struggles people carry live beneath conscious awareness, within the nervous system and subconscious mind. When those deeper layers begin to shift, lasting change becomes possible. What inspires this work mostly for me is witnessing the moment someone realizes they are not broken and that the patterns holding them back can soften, shift, and transform. Because beneath the anxiety, overwhelm, and coping mechanisms, there has always been a whole and capable part of us waiting to be remembered. At its heart, this work is about one simple truth: people are far more capable of change than they have been led to believe.Show More

Forest Bathing
I didn't come to this work through a classroom— came to it through the land. Living in the mountains around Lake Tahoe, I started spending time with the plants in a different way. Not just seeing them, but learning them. Harvesting, sitting, listening. That turned into foraging, then into distillation, then into creating medicine I could actually feel working in my own body Over time, this became a practice of slowing down and remembering— how to care for the body, how to regulate the nervous system, how to come back to something real. I've studied herbalism and plant-based formulation, and trained in distillation with Ann Harman, but most of what l offer comes from direct experience working with plants through the seasons, making medicine by hand, and using it in my own daily rituals. This work is inspired by the belief that the body knows how to heal when it's supported properly. Plants, earth, breath, and intention all play a role in that. Whether it's through forest therapy, aromatherapy, plant medicine, or ritual, what l offer is a space for people to slow down, reconnect, and feel supported in their body again.Show More
