I spent over 6 years in a Buddhist Ashram, I spent 8 years formally training and graduating as a Druid. I have trained through Glastonbury to be a Priestess of Sacred Sound and sound healer. I am a Master Evolutionary Astrologer through the FCEA. I have many more official titles, but what matters most to me is the healing and empowerment of as many people as I can. Jenay Aiksnoras, E-RYT500, M.S. Counseling has been teaching Yoga since 2005. Jenay's story began on a farm in Connecticut. She grew up actively engaging outdoors. When she moved to Boston for college, her love of the outdoors drew her to her school's outing club. A class audit during her undergraduate studies introduced her to the practice of yoga, untimately helping her discover the key to reducing physical pain and feeling well while playing outside. At that time there were few places to practice. She explored various studios and lineages including svarupa, vinyasa and Iyengar. Through consistent practice, Yoga asana helped to heal back pain resulting from bulging discs and scoliosis. It wasn't until she began practicing in New York with Amy Pearce-Hayden that she truly began to understand the depth of yoga. My work in social services deepened my commitment to health equity, social justice, and inclusive communication. Both my professional training and life experiences have shaped how I show up in my work. Navigating significant personal transitions, including early loss, family challenges, and becoming a parent, has strengthened my capacity for empathy, resilience, and steady presence. To further deepen my practice, I trained as a Certified Professional and Teams Coach, expanding my ability to support individuals and organizations in building alignment, accountability, and sustainable systems. Driven by a desire and a NEED to deepen my connection to my intuition, I began studying and practicing tarot, which has profoundly transformed both me and my work. I was born right smacky dab in the middle of the last century in a small logging town in the far reaches of Northern California called Mount Shasta. At 3 days old I came home from the hospital in a snowstorm in the Dunsmuir Chief of Police's police car. Half way through my 32 year career as a full time Peace Officer with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office I was called upon to care for my first wife in the last week and months of her life. That experience changed my life. Two years after her death I began my spiritual growth at a workshop In Mount Shasta, and the year after that I took 6 weeks off from the Sheriff's Office and became a Massage Therapist through the Phillip's School of Massage in Nevada City. Since my retirement 18 years ago I have continued my spiritual studies and growth and continue to fulfill my life's purpose of being of service and bringing love and light to the world one person at a time!Show More
