Through the practice of presence, attuned listening and compassion, the animal body starts to trust herself and to allow for her messages to be a bit louder. Our Story
Originally from Honduras, Emma has lived across the U.S. and abroad since emigrating from her native land as a young adult—from the Midwest to Australia, New Orleans, Vermont—and now Reno is home. Emma holds a BS. In Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. After years in software consulting, Emma shifted to entrepreneurship as a COO of an e-commerce startup focused on body-size democracy and then to coaching in 2021. She trained at InviteChange and the Somatic Nature Therapy Institute and has accumulated 400+ hours of coaching since. She is certified as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coaching Federation. In her coaching and facilitating, Emma supports the bridging of intellect and intuition, conscious and subconscious, through listening to the body. Her 1:1and group coaching integrates somatic practices to allow for widening the capacity to hold all emotions and body impulses with curiosity and care with the intention of supporting liberation from within.
