Ayurvedic Health Counselor
I am a student at the California College of Ayurveda. I've taken Principles of Ayurvedic Medicine, Clinical Ayurvedic Medicine, and I'm currently in my Ayurvedic Health Counselor Internship. I currently working with clients as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Treatment plans will focus on nutrition, lifestyle, and therapeutic use of digestive herbs. In Ayurveda, each person has two different doshas (a dosha is your unique Ayurvedic mind/body type). Your first dosha is the one you were born with and the second dosha is your current imbalance. Our initial intake will involve extensive review of your mind/body history that will allow us to determine both doshas. We will work to heal your current imbalance in order to bring you back your main dosha as your primary balanced state. Each session, we will visit touchpoints such as appetite, digestion, elimination, energy level, and mood. Further, I will provide weekly recommendations to continue encouraging your path of healing and overall wellness. If recommendations don't go as planned, we will co-create creative supports to help you integrate with more successs. While today's society can favor instant gratification and quick-fixes, Ayurveda is quite the opposite. In Sanskrit (ancient Indian language), Ayurveda directly translates to "the science of life." It is a way of life that weaves into all aspects of ourlives- that is why is so powerful. Each moment has the potential to hold understanding, care, and connection. Changes can be seen quickly and they can also take time to ripple into our reality. No matter what cadence, the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda will surely provide a loving, safe harbor for you to create balance and wellbeing in your mind and body.
