Massage Therapist
As an avid athlete, surfer, free-diver, backpacker and highly active human, my body has been put through a lot. Because of this, I understand where to find trigger points and how to approach them. Every injury I've had has taught me so much about how to help others, and I combine this personal understanding with the wisdom I have gained from my own healers to help my clients feel better and recover faster. My surgeries and the years of recovery that followed greatly influenced my life and because of it, my greatest passion lies in the world of injury recovery, especially scar tissue therapy. As a Biology major who loved Biochemistry, I’m a bit of a science nerd so my approach is most often based on scientific literature. I truly believe that bodywork goes so much deeper than the physical experience. Massage is an art of listening, which provides a platform of safety and understanding where the body can release not just tight muscles, but the deeper tensions, emotions, and traumas that may be stored in the body. No system in our body operates in isolation. Our nervous system, muscles, emotions, and detox pathways are all intricately interconnected, creating the complex beings we are. Because of this, we can't address one area without considering the whole picture. My goal is to create a safe space where you can release what no longer serves you, find healthy balance, and leave feeling rejuvenated and whole.

Notes from clients over the years, shared here by Alex.
“Alex Weber is nothing short of a miracle worker. I have large scars on my shoulder from a bicycle accident and reconstructive surgeries, which continued to cause discomfort and mobility limitations years later. After a few sessions, I have started to regain sensation in the nerve damaged areas along my scar, more mobility in the affected area, and less aching/tugging/discomfort along the surgery sites. The appearance of the scars has also softened, which I did not think would ever be possible at this point! I'm so grateful for Alex's care, patience, and expertise.”
“I started seeing Alex when I was less than 2 months post C-section. My monthly appts with her have been a crucial part of my postpartum recovery and feel like the ultimate self care and investment into my health. My scar looks a million times better than I ever would have imagined and Alex has been able to loosen the scar up so that I'm not getting back or shoulder pain from where it was tight and holding on. My recovery has felt so much smoother than I thought was possible and I attribute that largely to the regular scar work Alex has done on me. She was recommended to me by a friend and she is like a hidden gem! I have never once gotten bodywork on a regular basis but I am hooked. Alex is truly a healer.”
“Alex is truly talented, intuitive, and has a profound understanding of therapeutic body work...her ability to provide deep tissue work is rare... she has facilitated my recovery from shoulder surgery...she is an athlete herself, which gives her insight into the workings of the active body...she is authentic, personable, and easy to relate to...I highly recommend her services...”
“If you want someone who seriously cares about your long term pain relief Alex is your person. She has such a great understanding & feel for points of tension in my body beyond what I can explain. I have had chronic upper back and hip pain from surfing that she has helped me address for a very reasonable cost. She actually understands deep pressure and sends me home with self care strategies to keep me from going back to my original state. She is the best in Santa Cruz forsure!”
